The scholars of Hollowdeep whisper of a hidden realm layered beneath the ether … a second planar domain inhabited by fractured ‘entities’, severed from something…perhaps related to the Cataclysm above. These entities, twisted reflections of their surface counterparts, are less vibrant, more volatile. Yet, they exhibit a desperate sentience, as though aware of their exile.
Some believe this inner planar was a creation of necessity, a severed echo to preserve magic after the Cataclysm. Others suspect a darker purpose. Whatever its origin, this “Second Veil” is the key to understanding the strange inconsistencies in magic’s resurgence. It is accessible only at the confluence of silence, memory, and grief.
